Anatomy.tv User Guide for Students and Instructors

Adding Content to Canvas

Anatomy.tv can be a very powerful tool to engage your students in learning and provide relevant content for week-by-week modules! But wait, your Embed or Share links won't work from off campus! It's an easy fix! Jump to what you want to do:

Save Images for Canvas or Slideshows
Embed Interactive Content into Canvas
Link Content from Canvas

The left-hand tools (screenshot below) are used to select Save, Embed, or Share (link).

Save Images for Canvas or Slideshows

Our license for Anatomy.tv allows you to use images for educational purposes, including in your PowerPoint presentations (or other slideshow) and in Canvas!

  1. Use the left-hand navigation Save option in Anatomy.tv 3D Atlas
  2. Save what you want - image, text, or both
  3. Add to your slide show, or add in Canvas

Canvas-Specific Directions

  1. There's more than one way to add images within a module: File (stand-alone image file or with images placed in a document); Page (place the image on a Canvas page), or PowerPoint Presentations (place one or multiple images within PPT)
  2. Go to the desired module and add the content in the desired way - as a File, Page, or PoiwerPoint
  3. If using the Page option, once you've added the page, select Edit, and then the text editor has the Image option on the tool bar.

Embed Interactive Content into Canvas

  1. Get into the desired section of Anatomy.TV
  2. Use the left-hand Embed icon, and be sure to switch the Embed Text setting to on, if you'd like the accompanying text for the image
  3. Select your LMS – Canvas, and then select Generate Embed Code
  4. In Canvas, go to the desired module and select the + to add content, and Add a Page.
  5. Click on the Page you just created, and select Edit, and then switch to HTML view
  6. Paste the embed code in HTML view and select Save or Save and Publish.
