This is a step-by-step guide in how to use FLITE Library's tool SmartSearch to locate materials in the library that are labeled as poems or plays.

Step 1: Select Advanced Search

2.1: Change the filter to Subject.
2.2: Enter your subject - subjects are official terms that describe a topic and are created by librarians. You will need to use "poetry" or "drama" for this search.
2.3: Change the material type to Book
2.4: If you want a descriptor then enter it into Any field where it says Enter a Search Term
2.5: Make sure you did it right by checking that it says "Subject Contains"
2.6: Hit search!!
Step 3: Look on the left side of the results screen and check that Books really are your only results.
Step 4: Limit your results by location - the majority of your materials for this project are on FLITE's 3rd floor. This limiter is also located on the left side of the results screen.
