Simmons OneView Basic Guide

Introduction to Simmons OneView

Where can I find Simmons OneView?

Lots of places!  The previous tab has a link and you can also find in from the alphabetical list of databases.  Our subscription has a 5-user limit.

Determine what you want to know

To best utilize the database determine what you want to know.

  1. What is your product or brand?
  2. What do you want to know about this product or brand?
  • Demographics, age, gender, race, income, education, marital status
  • Psychographics : attitudes, values, beliefs
  • Media: Where is the best place to advertise to reach the target market?
  • Products: What products does my target audience use?

This basic guide will show you two examples of the type of data you can retrieve:

Example 1.  Choose a product or brand and determine what you want to know about who uses it based on;

  • user demographics : age, gender, income, marital status, education
  • user psychographics : attitudes, values, beliefs

Example 2.  Chose a target audience (age, gender, race, income, product user, or brand user) and find out what media they use.

TIP:  Your searches will be more successful if you keep them simple and do them one at a time.  If you try to combine too many variables, your sample size may be too small.
