Students, faculty and staff may place hold/pick-up requests for materials in the library. You can also place "holds" on materials that are checked out. Requests and holds may be done directly in SmartSearch, by email or by phone.
Grab 'n Go:
Place your request via SmartSearch, by email or by phone
The item will be pulled and placed on the hold shelf
You will be emailed when your items are ready to be picked up
Bring your ID Card and ask at the front desk in the library
How To Request A Book
Use the SmartSearch bar above or on the library home page
Enter your search terms
Sign in - Use your MyFSU & Password - There are two places to sign in. This will give you immediate access to databases and allow you to place holds.
Filter your search results - On the left - Select Library - Kendall Library.
Pro Tip!: Use the filters on the left to choose item types, location, library, etc.
Choose your item and open the record. - Make sure the item is available
Click Request
If you do not need the item past a certain date, you can set it. It is not required to place the hold. Click Send Request
