Library Circulation Policies for KCAD Students
You must present your KCAD/FSU ID Card to check out all Library materials
Books - Books circulate for 3 weeks
Books may be renewed 1 time for an additional 3 weeks, provided that no holds or requests have been placed.
You may renew books online via your Library Account.
You may renew books at the Library circulation desk. You do not need to have the items with you.
Media - CDs, CD-Roms, DVDs, and Videocassettes circulate for (7) days and May NOT be renewed. If you need the item for additional time, please bring the item to the Library so it can be re-circulated to you.
Course Reserves have varying circulation rules and may NOT be renewed.
If your books are OVERDUE, you must call or come into the Library to renew
Graduate Students have the same circulation policies as undergraduate students.
If you are a Graduate Student AND a KCAD Adjunct Faculty member, your classification with the Library is Graduate Student. You will be fined and billed for overdue and unreturned materials.
Current KCAD Students, KCAD Faculty and Staff, and KCAD Adjunct Faculty may request MELCAT materials.
Materials requested through MELCAT take 3 - 5 days to arrive. You will receive an email to your Ferris email when materials arrive.
You have up to 10 business days to pick up your MELCAT items.
MELCAT materials are picked up and must be returned to the Kendall College Library.
Most MELCAT materials (e.g. Books, Book on CD) have a check-out time of (3) three weeks (unless otherwise indicated).
MELCAT materials may be renewed for one time for a (3) week period, unless a hold has been placed on the material.
MELCAT Media (e.g. DVD, VHS, CD) has a check-out time of 1 week. No renewals.
MELCAT materials DO NOT have a grace period. Overdue MELCAT materials CAN NOT be renewed.
