MelCat Suspension

FLITE and KCAD Library are moving to a  new library management system.  

To facilitate the system change, MelCat service will be suspended starting April 1, 2019.

On and after April 1, 2019 you will not be able to:

  • Place new MelCat requests
  • Renew materials.  Materials will need to be returned by the due date indicated.

We expect MelCat to be available again in September of 2019.  We will notify both campus communities when MelCat is up and running.

We appreciate your patience during this process as we work to make your library experience the best it can be.  

What are my options?

 1.   Create and use an ILLiad account.  This is the preferred method for students who are not in their home library service area.  

More information about ILLiad can be found here.

2.  Visit your local public library and place your requests there.  Other than using a different login, this will be the same process you are familiar with.  You will need to follow the rules set by the home library.  You must be a resident of your local library's service area to use this method.  If you reside in a community that supports MelCat, you may prefer this method.
