All the standards we purchase are available through Techstreet at the link below. Once you get to the landing page, scroll down to Subscription Details and look for the Subscribed Content section where you can either select one of the organization links or the "view all products" link further down.

Once you get inside Techstreet, you can search the entire database of standards by unchecking the "on subscription" filter after searching.

ASHRAE books, handbooks, guidelines and standards; ASTM fuel standards; international, state, and local building codes, guidelines and standards; and the SMACNA 2020 Duct Construction Standard.

We also recommend searching ANSI Webstore and Accuris (formerly S&P Global) because some standards are not listed in Techstreet.

Federal Standards

NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology)

OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration)
The mission of OSHA is to protect workers from harm by creating and enforcing standards for workplace health and safety.

Industry Standards

Standards-creating bodies may be professional or industry associations. Their websites contain information about how the standards were created and often provide additional information about specific standards.

ANSI (American National Standards Institute)
ANSI oversees US standards and follows a process for creation and approval so that all stakeholders can provide input.
ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers)
Go to Techstreet for the standards and handbooks collection. Additional information is in the Technical Resources section under Standards & Guidelines.
ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers)
Go to the Codes & Standards section.
ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)
Go to Techstreet for fuel standards. Over 12,000 standards for metals, plastics, test methods, fuels, and a variety of other subjects.
AWS (American Welding Society)
Welding standards also available through ANSI.
ICC (International Code Council)
Go to Techstreet to access the building codes.
ISO (International Organization for Standardization)
Learn more about their standards development processes and search standards awaiting comment and/or final approval.
ITU (International Telecommunications Union)
Over 4000 standards for telecommunications networks and services. Most are free to download. Use the "ITU-T Recommendations keyword search" link in the middle of the page to find standards.
NFPA (National Fire Protection Association)
All standards can be viewed online at no charge if you create an individual account on their site. Standards can not be downloaded or printed.
SAE International
Nearly 50,000 mobility standards for aerospace, automotive, defense, medical, and related industries.
