Welcome to the Information Hub for the Work Teams Task Force. The Task Force intends this LibGuide to serve as a permanent, centralized location to view current information on all of FLITE's committees, interest groups, task forces, and work groups. Included for each are membership, charge, annual reports, guiding documents, and more.

Definitions

Committee: A group of individuals who are identified to work together on an ongoing basis toward common goals; while membership of the committee may rotate, the charge remains the same. EX: Marketing

Interest Group: An informal collective that engages in loosely structured discussions and learning opportunities; functions without an official charge, timeframe, or membership. EX: Scholarly Communication Interest Group

Task Force: A group that is formed to accomplish a large-scale task or important project within a specific timeframe. EX: Work Teams Task Force

Team: A group that works together in pursuit of shared activities as defined by the organizational structure. EXS: CAS, RIS, Archives

Work Group: A group of employees that work semi-autonomously on recurring tasks with a narrow focus; focus or tasks may shift as a result of changing trends or issues. EX: Springshare Investigative

Inventory

A list of all library and university committees, interest groups, task forces, teams, and work groups in which FLITE personnel take part.
