Oral history: Databases (Articles)

This research guide helps to give students a place to start in looking for information about the practices and uses of oral history

Why bother with databases?

why?

Everson, B. (2012). Why? [photo]. CC. Retrieved from http://www.flickr.com/photos/editor/6698208975/

1. Most of what you find on Google isn't scholarly.

2. When you do find something scholarly on Google, the site often asks you to pay for it.

3. You should never have to pay for content.  That's what the library is for!

What databases have you used?

What FLITE databases have you found useful in searching for articles about and/or utilizing oral history sources?  Are there any databases that we do not subscribe to that you feel would be helpful in this regard?  Please give us your comments.

Databases containing oral history articles

The databases listed here contain both articles about oral history and, in some cases, articles in disciplines that use oral hisitory as a source.
